Description

This is a beautiful wooden set perfect for any coffee table, that transforms the traditional pencil and paper game into a fun tactile one that will be enjoyed for hours. Tic-tac-toe has been enjoyed by children for centuries, and is known as Noughts Crosses in the United Kingdom. Played on a 3 x 3 grid, it is a simple game for two (X O, X plays first) and the winner successfully places three marks in a horizontal, vertical, or diagonal row. Grid marks found etched in surfaces throughout the ancient Roman Empire suggest the game Terni Lapilli may have been the original Tic-tac-toe. Interestingly, with roots in an ancient world, Tic-tac-toe was the very first computer game in the world!
